Today iPARK is the only technology incubator in Jordan with recognizable incubation operations with KPIs that are geared towards economic development, job creation and entrepreneurship support. It is currently leveraging this knowledge to establish further incubation facilities on behalf on larger institutions, effectively providing incubation knowhow and management support. IPCO is the central node in the national technology transfer network with agreements and working relationships with multiple major universities and research centers. IPCO is also the regional centre of knowledge for innovation strategy and policy, having helped tens of regional institutions to develop tailored policies to fit their particular needs. iPARK is the only national entity that brings together innovation and entrepreneurship under a clear mandate to generate impact o the national scale. Eng. Omer Hamarned Male, M.Sc. in Science and Technology Policy, Strathclyde University (Scotland) 1996. Omar Hamarneh is currently the Executive Chairman of iPARK, a technology focused business Park that provides a complete package of support and services across the wide spectrum of entrepreneurship and Innovation sphere from pre-incubation and entrepreneurship training and development, technology business incubation and spinoffs, IP protection, transfer and commercialization and access to finance. Previous to this Omar was Deputy Secretary General of the Higher Council for Science and Technology of Jordan where
he was responsible for Science and Technology policy, development of the National Innovation strategy, international cooperation including development and implementation of bilateral and multilateral agreements between Jordan and other nations including the Jordanian –US S&T agreement, Jordan China agreement, and many others. Today Omar also sits on the Board of Trustees of Prince Sumaya University for Technology, served on the advisory board of Talal abu Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business and continues to be personally active as a mentor and adviser to programs such as Oasis 500, regional business plan competitions and other national and regional initiatives.
Dr Mohammed Aljafari. PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Nottingham university (UK) 2002. Managing Director of IPCO at iPARK. He with over 15 years of experience in innovation, commercialization, IP, strategy, investment, corporate finance, and research, Dr Aljafari recently took over IPCO with a view to bridging the gap between innovation and tangible value. Over the years, Dr Aljafari has been involved in countless projects over the entire lifecycle of enterprise and academic innovation and commercialization, and has played a hands-on role in all stages of corporate development including conceptualization,
development, prototyping, business/financial modeling, IP protection, incorporation, technology investment, capital calls, commercialization, and unlocking value.
