Work-packages

The 5TOI_4EWAS project work-plan revolves around six work-packages: one devoted to management, three to stakeholders engagement and dissemination and two focused on monitoring, analysis and capacity building actions.

WP1 Project Management

WP2 Communication, dissemination and networking

WP3 Analysis, monitoring and Review

WP4 Science and Innovation Policy Dialogue Platform

WP5 Science technology cooperation agreement/capacity building

WP6 Co-ordination with other activities and networking

WP1 - Project Management

This work-package allows an efficient management at administrative, contractual, legal, scientific and technical levels towards delivering high-quality results within the project scope, schedule, and cost, whilst taking into account stakeholders satisfaction and potential project risks. Internal monitoring and self-evaluation mechanisms, based on a well-defined Project Quality Handbook and risk management of all foreseen activities have been established. An External Advisory Board will oversee the project progress and assist as a controlling mechanism.

WP2 - Communication, dissemination and networking

Communication, dissemination and networking activities will serve 5TOI_4EWAS project covering its different steps, to secure the enrollment of key stakeholders, the enlargement of 5TOI_4EWAS network and a wider dissemination of key achievements. In this respect, work-package 2 aims to carry out a set of actions aiming at increasing the visibility of 5TOI_4EWAS project, partners, and activities as well as spreading and exploiting the project results in order to make it a successful and sustainable project.

WP3 - Analysis, monitoring and Review

This work-package will establish a comprehensive baseline of scientific cooperation between EU and MPC and within each target country in relation to the three foci for the project (innovation in energy, water and agriculture). As a result we will develop a Joint Action Plan for the development of enhanced and improved research-policy coordination on the three research foci and we will assess the project’s impact on research and scientific cooperation between EU and MPC and within the target countries.

WP4- Science and Innovation Policy Dialogue Platform

The Creation of a Science and Innovation Policy Dialogue Platform for MPC region aims at linking, describing and analyzing policies in selected areas and identified societal challenges, to support monitoring policy development and cooperation hence enhancing local research and innovation potential. The exploitation of existing synergies and complementarities will enable to establish links among different relevant observatories, allowing monitoring of relevant indicators and elaboration of trends and scenarios to support RTD policies in the selected societal challenges and to identify remaining obstacles and promote measures for international cooperation

WP5 - Science technology cooperation agreement/capacity building

This work-package deals with organizing workshops and knowledge sharing events to intensively train the staff of the involved MPC institutions on issues concerning H2020 and support identified individuals in forming future project consortia to address relevant research challenges following targeted open innovation approach. The creation of an Innovation Helpdesk to strengthen Research and Innovation instruments, to identify a model for Business support in water, energy and agriculture sectors, to create new opportunities related to cooperation, knowledge transfer among EU-MPC and to secure the uptake of research results.

WP6 Co-ordination with other activities and networking

The aim of this work-package is to set up an innovation-friendly environment by: a) encouraging institutional synergies through R&I vouchers for high skilled individuals belonging to different water, agriculture and energy value chain stakeholders, to participate in regional events. b) framing, creating and coordinating a systemic and “self-feeding” snapshot of programs and activities to be developed in MPC targeted areas and for international cooperation.
