Mr. Claude Ayache

Graduated in engineering from Grenoble Institute of Technology (Applied Physics, Electronics & Materials Science) and in physics from University Joseph Fourier (Grenoble), he is also “Docteur d’Etat ès Sciences Physiques” (habilitation). He has developed a career in experimental and theoretical research at international level over thirty years. He has an experience of technology transfer and was appointed by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research in different European and International committees. As the head of the European Affairs Division at CEA (“French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission“), he promoted CEA participation in Community Research Programmes and in Bilateral European relationships and represented CEA by European Institutions. Especially, he was involved in the establishment of the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) of the SET-Plan, the EIT KIC InnoEnergy and the Marie-Curie cofund scheme (Eurotalents, Pathways). Member of several working groups of the SET Plan (Education & Training, Materials, Research Infrastructures), he has taken part to the preparation of the recent updating of the Integrated SET Plan. For four years now, he is responsible for the European Affairs of the EIT’s KIC InnoEnergy S.E. His mission focuses on articulating KIC InnoEnergy activities with EU priorities: Energy Union, SET plan integrated roadmap, H2020 challenges, EIT’s outreach and regional policy, Neighbouring Partnership with Eastern and Mediterranean countries…
