Prof. Wail Benjelloun
Wail Benjelloun holds a Ph.D. in neuroscience from State University of New York (SUNY-Binghamton). He has taught at Mohammed V University since 1976, serving as Dean of its Faculty of Science. He was the first Vice President for Academic Affairs at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, before serving as President of Mohammed V University in Rabat from December 2010 to January 2015. He was also President of the College of Moroccan University Presidents. Dr. Benjelloun is a widely published researcher, has served on many national and international scientific committees and is a member of university Boards of Trustees in Morocco and abroad. He is also member and past president of the Moroccan-American Fulbright Commission. He is currently president of the Mediterranean Universities Union UNIMED.
